This screencast ranked and evaluated the five online sportsbooks that I believe are the best for New Jersey residents. I utilized a program called ScreenCastoMatic in order to conduct this screencast, which I thought was very user-friendly and consistent. I found it relatively easy to make this screencast since I only had to make a PowerPoint and write a script for it. It took me a few attempts since I would forget to transition the slideshow, or I would read out of order. Other than these issues, I found the rest of the process to be very straightforward.
This screencast’s intended audience is to sports gamblers in New Jersey since it helps them decide on the online sportsbook they should use. I believe that users would be able to find this video if they are searching for a video that compares and evaluates online sportsbooks. “The way participants are describing videos shows us that they prefer YouTube videos because it is a medium capable of conveying information in dynamic ways” (Wolf, 7). This screencast on comparing online sportsbooks allows people to see visual side by side comparisons, which are very helpful since they do not have to research about different sportsbooks on their own. Thus, the visual representation of these comparisons is very helpful since viewers can clearly understand the reasoning behind my rankings.
I believe that users would definitely find this video worth watching since I would definitely find this information useful when I started sports betting. I missed out on so many promotional offers because I did not research enough on the plenty of new user benefits. Therfore, I believe that first time sports bettors and sports bettors in general would really find the information in this screencast to be useful.
Overall, I believe that screencasting is a fantastic way to convey information to a viewer since they get a clear visual perspective. This form of ranking online sportsbooks is much more efficient than writing out rankings and evaluating them in text. I believe that this screencast is an incredible addition to my blog since it clearly articulates a main component of my blog’s purpose.
